MY COMIC-CON STORY:  Cafes were frequent stops for me to write and snack.  One cafe in particular changed my life. The cafe was new  and the walls were naked. I convinced the owners that if I could fill these walls with paintings, it would bring more people in and in turn it would improve their business. The cafe was only 555 steps from the Convention Center, the home of Comic-Con. That afternoon I started working on a Comic-Con collection of paintings. The most popular, the most instagrammed by cc-followers was the ‘The History of Comic-Con’.

Keith Robinette who joined these pioneers in 1971, came into the cafe and stopped at the 48x60 painting-> ‘The History of Comic-Con’. He went through the pictorial history and gave me a thumbs up for accuracy. Thank You Freada and Kal Hindi the owners of my grounding cafe.
